Thorny Meadow Farm

Bio

We got a married in a fever in January of 2010, and opened Bluegrass Pizza and Pub five months
later. From the beginning, our goal was to provide the best pizza made with the freshest (organic when
possible) produce and ingredients. After working with a terrific local organic farm, we were inspired to
purchase our own farm, so that we can provide an experience like nowhere else in Danville, where we
are harvesting in the morning what you eat that night.

We are a member of the Kentucky Proud program, and next year we will begin the process of
Organic certification. Throughout the year we will grow tomatoes, onions, green peppers, cucumber,
squash, zucchini, spring mix, lettuce, basil, mushrooms, spinach, garlic, mint, rosemary. Our hope is that
you are into the ideas of farm fresh produce and sustainable agriculture. Most of our nation’s food
travels over a thousand miles to get to our plates. We have got it down to less than fifteen.

Bluegrass Pizza and Pub will be one of the few restaurants in the state of Kentucky with
complete control of the dining experience from how the vegetables are grown and harvested to the
point they top our pizzas and make up our salads.

We work hard, play hard, and in general try to enjoy our lives as much as possible, and we
encourage you to do the same. Through patience and hard work we might just get the hang of it yet!
